Welcome Parents and Guardians to the Robotics option for Stage 5 IST wiki.
This wiki is provided so that you can see what students learn over the course of the unit and the syllabus outcomes tasks meet under Option 7: Robotics and Automated Systems.
First off, for those who do not know, a wiki is an interactive web page which can be edited by some of its members. It is a good educational tool because it allows students to engage with the content they are studying. The way this one is set up also promotes socially interactive learning, which according to many theorists is very beneficial for student learning.
This wiki includes the core content students need to study the unit, some key words they will need to know, tasks they have to complete (roughly fortnightly), a links page to interesting videos and articles concerning robotics and also a help page in case they have troubles navigating this wiki or doing the prescribed work.
